An Interim Update

Between these very necessary changes and the amount of time and vigilance required to find and correct them, I’ve only been able to edit about one chapter a day on average.  I just finished chapter 12, and now I’m starting 13.  That puts me somewhere around halfway, but that’s much further behind than I’d hoped.  Still, I’m keeping at it, and while progress is slow, I feel pretty good about the end product.

Also in my prior post, I mentioned that I was going to meet with my cover artist.  I walked away feeling very good about the direction she’s headed.  I will say, right up front, don’t expect to see either dagger or a rose on the cover.  With that idea in mind, I’ve turned her loose to explore more abstract concepts that still tie into the story.  Based on our conversation, I must say that I am very excited to see what she comes back with.

More later.

Why didn’t your crappy editor catch these kinds of things in his first (several) run???
